Pursuing his passion for both sports and leadership, he furthered his education at Claflin University in South Carolina, where he earned a degree in Sports Management, equipping him with the skills and knowledge to excel in the competitive world of athletics and beyond.
Derek Long, a proud native of the vibrant and culturally rich Southwest Atlanta neighborhood affectionately known as “THE SWATS,” carries with him the spirit and resilience of his community in everything he does.
